For providers seeing Cigna members, it is important to check the Amplifon price list associated with the Cigna referral in order to verify if the product you’re recommending is available for the member. While Cigna members can be fit with hearing aids from any of the manufacturers in the Amplifon program (GN ReSound, Miracle-Ear, Oticon, Phonak, Rexton, Signia, Sonic Innovations, Starkey, Unitron, and Widex), the full product line is not necessarily available for each of these brands.
If a product is ordered that’s not on the approved list of products, the Cigna member’s claim will be denied, resulting in a return, and extra paperwork for all involved.
