It’s worth noting that while your hearing aids are still under warranty, the repair itself will be covered. However, if you go to a clinic that’s not your AHHC network dispensing provider, you may have out-of-pocket costs associated with services provided, such as fixing a broken receiver wire.

Hearing aids provided by Medicaid programs have standard warranties just like private pay hearing aids. However, if the hearing aids are outside the manufacturer's repair warranty, Medicaid will pay for the repair if the repair is necessary (not medically necessary) and not related to misuse or neglect. For example, if your dog chewed your hearing aid, Medicaid isn't going to pay for that.

Other than Medicaid, no health insurance covers hearing aid repairs.
