Along the way, the important thing is to stick with it and remember this acclimatization period is to be expected!

Frequently Asked Questions

Should you try hearing aids before buying them?

Yes, you want to understand how they fit into your everyday environment. Your hearing health care provider will be able to explain the specifics of your trial period.

How long to get used to hearing aids?

Most people experience a 6-week adjustment period, but it may take you longer, and that’s okay! Because your brain needs time to process sounds you may not have heard in a long time, you may experience fatigue, or frustration. That’s normal!

A good strategy is to wear your new hearing aids in quiet environments like your home for a few days before tackling more complex and noisy environments like a restaurant or grocery store.

The important thing is to wear your hearing aids consistently, so you get a sense of what’s working and the benefits your improved hearing provides.

How long should I wear hearing aids during trial?

Start with a few hours every day in a quiet environment to minimize auditory fatigue. After this initial adjustment phase, aim to wear them continuously all day (at least 8-10 hours a day). Consistent wear improves your brain's adaptation to new sounds and complex listening situations.

How many follow-up appointments will I need?

Expect a few visits during the trial period. Your hearing health care specialist will ask about your daily experience, physically inspect your ear canals, and adjust sound based on your real-world feedback.

What happens if I don’t like the hearing aids?

It’s okay! You’re not limited to the first model you try. If the shape feels uncomfortable or you continue having difficulty hearing, your provider can switch you to a different style, receiver strength, or brand without any penalty.

What’s the hearing aid return policy during trial?

If you’re not completely satisfied with the results during the 60-day hearing aids risk-free trial, you can return them without any penalty or restocking fee!

What is covered under the 3-year warranty?

Devices purchased through the program come with a 3-year warranty negotiated directly with top manufacturers. Key coverage features include:

  • Mechanical Repairs. Protection against hardware failures and factory defects.
  • Loss & Damage (L&D). One-time replacement coverage for accidental loss or unrepairable damage. Note: This does have a deductible.
  • Expansive Network. Repairs and servicing are handled through any participating clinic nationwide. Make sure to check with the clinic ahead of time to avoid unexpected, out-of-pocket costs.
