Amplifon Hearing Health Care recently became the first organization of its kind to receive full URAC Health Utilization Management (HUM) accreditation — signifying our unwavering commitment to quality, accountability and consumer protection.
HUM accreditation recognizes the inherent challenge for managed care organizations to mitigate the high cost of hearing aids, while maintaining high-quality services and an evidence-based approach to hearing health care.
Accredited entities must demonstrate an ability to reduce unnecessary costs; ensure accessibility, quality and timeliness of care; and certify compliance with all applicable regulations. URAC, the independent, nonprofit entity that awards HUM accreditation, is recognized by nearly every state and the federal government, as it evaluates organizations against a strict set of established and evidence-based measures.
“This gold-standard recognition means consumers, our partners and our nationwide network of hearing care providers can count on us like never before,” states Guillaume Bonniol, Amplifon’s Senior Vice President. “We are incredibly excited to have achieved this accreditation and are proud of what it represents for our organization and our entire team.”
After more than a year of preparation, foundation-building and assessment, Amplifon’s full HUM accreditation began July 1, 2021. In 2020, Amplifon also received National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation, a recognition of our achievements in the credentialing and network management space.
