Does Medicare cover hearing aids?

Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does not cover the cost of routine hearing aids or diagnostic hearing-aid fitting exams. Original Medicare does cover seeing an audiologist for hearing tests (tests for imbalance not included) once every 12 months without a physician's order.
